Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown was probably England’s greatest landscape designer. His life and times will be celebrated in 2016 with a kaleidoscope of events centred round his Northumbrian birthplace at Kirkharle, culminating in a Capability Brown Festival weekend, over August bank holiday.

Sun 26 June, 12 – 5pm – Fun Croquet Event

Enjoy a fun croquet event was held in the summer sun, by Kirkharle Lake. Strawberries and cream were provided in the Coffee House. N.B. this is not a professional croquet ground. Great fun was had by all.
