Visitors were amazed at the wonderful flower displays that had been created by willing volunteers from the community.  St Wilfrid’s Church was brim full of vegetables and blooms, the majority of which were culled from local gardens, and all were chosen for historical interest.   The arrangements were all copied from 18th century paintings and the origins and history of the plants extensively researched.  This was a truly stunning event.
