Kirkharle Courtyard and Lake are an ideal location for Educational Visits for schools. Places of interest include St. Wilfrid’s Church, Loraine’s Monument and the new Serpentine Lake, designed by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown, as well as the new play area!
The ‘Young Capability’ character introduces the special activity trail, which takes in the sights of the area and provides activities to enjoy along the way; ideal for children up to 10 years old.
‘Kirkharle Kids’ trail activity booklets (£2.00 each) are available from Brown’s Lakeside Larder and include a map, wordsearch, quiz questions, drawing pages and more.
The Loraine Room can accommodate up to 40 people in different layouts. It is an ideal meeting room and can be hired for lunch or other refreshments.
